Description
Custom 0.5mn clear tarpaulins
Quoted measurements are the finished size with hems included. Whilst we strive for accuracy, we cannot always guarantee millimetre-perfect sizing and work to a tolerance of +25mm (1in), although usually less. If this is a concern, please check with us before ordering.
As standard we fit brass eyelets every 50cm, but please do let me know if you have specific requirements.
I’ve attached images of the two materials so you can see the difference in clarity. If appearance is an important consideration then I’d recommend the 0.5mm. If price is a key factor then you may be better off with the 0.3mm.
0.3mm: flexible and supple. Slightly more hazy than 0.5mm.Typically used for market stall sides, tent windows and baby strollers. Material has a white re-enforcement strip in the hem into which the eyelets are inserted.
0.5mm: thicker, stiffer material. Clearer and more hard wearing. Typically used for gazebo sides or veranda covers. Thick enough that it doesn’t need any reinforcement in the hem so as standard they’re clear (we can put a coloured strip in there if you prefer).
Our clear material is supplied on rolls that are 1.3m-1.8m wide. Where the screen width/height exceeds these dimensions we join the fabric with a heat weld which can result in a visible seam. I’ve attached some images of this.
